Permit type: SRF/SR-2 or SCA/SCA-2
Eligible听students:听Overnight undergraduate student permits are only available to juniors and seniors听living on campus and receiving academic credit听required for graduation through a Boston College听sponsored field practicum, clinical, or three-credit internship in areas听not accessible听by public transportation. Confirmation from the practicum office or program administrator is required.听
The allotted spaces are very limited and parking location is assigned based on availability. Students with jobs off campus are expected to use public transportation.
First-year and sophomore students are not eligible for a parking permit unless granted a medical accommodation by the Office of Disability Services.
How to apply:听Eligible students in these programs must request approval from their administrator, which will be sent to the听Transportation & Parking office prior to the start of the semester.听Once they are approved for a permit, students will receive an email from the Transportation & Parking office with instructions on how to register their vehicle and when to pick up their permit sticker from Student Services in Lyons Hall. Student permits are billed to the student account.

Nonresident Student Drivers
State law requires Boston College to post the following notice to all students who are听not听Massachusetts residents:
It is unlawful for a nonresident student to fail to file a nonresident driver statement with the police department located in the same city or town as the school of college attended, in accordance with听听of the Massachusetts general laws. Failure to file such statement is punishable by a fine not to exceed $200.
Under Massachusetts law, if out-of-state students bring cars to campus, but choose not to register the car with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, then they must file a nonresident driver statement with the local police department. Regardless of whether or not they apply for on-campus parking, they are required to register as a nonresident driver. After filing the nonresident driver statement with the Transportation and Parking office, students will receive the nonresident student driver decal. This sticker is not valid for parking on Boston College's campus or within the Boston City Limits.
This decal must be prominently displayed in the uppermost center portion of the vehicle鈥檚 windshield.
